MLS Cup 2010 Rematch

Need I say more? ;)

A quick turnaround from our trip to Boston sends us to Dallas tomorrow for a rematch of our MLS Cup victory.  As good as the Rapids have been in Dallas in the postseason they've struggled in the regular season.  With this being the 3rd game in 8 days we'll probably see some tired legs.  Kickoff tomorrow is at 5pm and the game is on Altitude.  Pub on Penn will be hosting the Denver watch party while Backcountry Pizza will have the Boulder one.

Injury Report:
OUT: MF Ross LaBauex (sports hernia); MF Pablo Mastroeni (headache symptoms); DF Anthony Wallace (L Achilles tear); DF Marvell Wynne (R hamstring strain)
QUESTIONABLE: MF Jamie Smith (R ACL tear)
PROBABLE: FW Conor Casey (L Achilles tear)

INELIGIBLE: FW Edu (Awaiting visa and ITC)

Wynne didn't make the trip after his hamstring pull in New England on Tuesday.  The good news is that Rivero is off the injury report and Casey did make the trip.  Dallas is also missing 5 people to injury so the teams are at even strength.  Its going to be tough to know what Pareja's thinking on this one but my guess on the starting XI:

Cascio - Cummings - Mullan
Castrillon - Larentowicz - Rivero
Zapata - Marshall - Moor - Freeman
Pickens

I wouldn't be shocked to see Kimura in for Freeman, Hill in for Cascio or even Palguta in for Marshall but I think Oscar will go with the lineup we had in New England.

Key To Look For: Set play defense.  We've gotten burned multiple times lately on defending the opposition's set pieces and we need to get that under control to get a win.

Prediction: 1-1 draw.  Goal by Casey.  Yep, Casey comes off the bench and gets the tying goal to rescue a  point.
